It continues to amaze me of the need by community residents for food, clothing, or financial assistance.

My official last day as the Marengo Main Street Executive Director was June 10, 2011. I accepted a new position working at Del Webb in Huntley as the Standards Advisor for the Association Management.

Nice to meet you, Marengo! I am Amanda L. Seago, your new Executive Director of Marengo Main Street, Inc.

(Editor’s Note: Part 2 is a continuation from the June issue on the history of public education). Surprisingly, as the early colonies continued to grow in population, the introduction of more religious groups caused the “clergy-driven” schools to dissipate.

The sky is the limit. During these troubled economic times, new businesses are considering Marengo.

To just say, “thank you,” will never be enough. The outpouring of support the Marengo Park District Foundation has had in the recent months has been overwhelming.

As a follow-up to the column I wrote in April of this year, I wanted to outline the procedures for contacting the Marengo Police Department should you be in need of some police service.

When the robins return, usually around March 5th, it is always an exciting day for me.

Commitment. Discipline. Effort. Toughness. No sport embodies this spirit more than football.
