To just say, “thank you,” will never be enough. The outpouring of support the Marengo Park District Foundation has had in the recent months has been overwhelming. We would like to thank the local businesses and their patrons for support in our Pennies for the Pool fundraiser. We raised over $1,200 thanks to: Brandt’s Pharmacy, Joe’s Place, Harris Bank, New Beginnings Hair Salon, Castle Bank, Café 20, Marengo Café, Wayne’s Country Market, Prairie Community Bank, Marengo Park District, Mr. Freeze, Wisted’s Supermarket, A Thru Z Resale & Consignment; and the students and staff at Riley School . Additional “thanks” goes out to: Crystal Pools, Creasy Exteriors, Air Management, Knobloch Plumbing, Tom Karsten Construction, Hidden Path Arts-Team Rain, David and Suzanne Schwartz, Pollock Meyers & Eicksteadt LLP, Andy’s Paint & Paper, Dax Kirchoff Decorating, Courtney Haas, Adam Beebe, Meyer Material, Hubbs Greenhouse, Marengo FS, Marengo Lions Club, and Marengo Signs. Help has been received in so many different ways, but not one token more valuable than another. Thank you again to all of you.
Most of our current fundraising has been directed towards improvements at the pool, with more to come. Painting has been a major portion of the improvements and will be on-going through the summer and probably into the fall. Our website is up and going. Please go to www.marengoparkfoundation.org to get updates on fundraising efforts and our most recent projects, or to contact a foundation board member. Our current donation/sponsor page is also available for printing. Or, if you are more comfortable, donations are accepted via Paypal.
Shortly, we will be featuring a Brick Paver Fundraiser. Engraved brick pavers can be purchased through the Marengo Park District Foundation. Once they are individually created, they will go on display in different projects throughout the park. We will also be hosting a 5K Run Fundraiser the weekend of Marengo Settlers’ Days. Please visit our website for updates. We are always open to suggestions and different ideas. Please contact us if there is a program or idea you would like to see implemented at Marengo Park District.
