The props are being painted, the costumes fitted and rehearsals with singing, dancing and excitement are filling the air as Christian Arts Student Theater prepares for their annual show. 10 years ago, “Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” was presented by CAST, and this wonderful production is being brought back, better than ever! Kimberly Voller teamed up with Christo Poggas for their second show and decided Narnia would be perfect to showcase the higher number of “seniors” this year. They have added more dance numbers and are thrilled that there are 20 more students involved in this show than the first time Kimberly directed it. Seven of the “elder” performers and even stage crew, have been around for quite some time and now as “seniors” this will be their last show. Kimberly finds so much joy in leading these children and watching their talents develop over the years. The cast of Narnia includes 64 children and one adult, of whom 24 are new to the program. Kimberly and Christo are joined with Kristin Hartz and Hanna Butzow as choreographers, Kenzie Parry as vocal coach, Holly Adkins for costumes and Diana Long as stage manager. As always this “family” works very hard throughout their journey, on stage and behind the scenes. There are countless people who participate to make these shows wonderful examples of dedication, hard work and most importantly Christian fellowship. After 13 years, this organization continues to grow and sincerely appreciates the support from our community and now others that we have reached and embraced. Tickets available now, see advertisement for details.
