Scouting For Food

It was another successful year for Scouting for Food! Cub Scout Pack 163, in conjunction with Boy Scout Troop 530, members of Boy Scout Troop 153, and Brownie Troop 2241, put in a combined total of 582 volunteer hours. We have all of you, the residents of Marengo and Union, to thank for our success. With your donations, we were able to stock the MORE Center with al - most four tons of food, household, and personal products. With your monetary donations, the MORE Center will be able to purchase items as needed. We would like to thank the MORE Center for allow - ing us this opportunity to do a good turn for our community. The Marengo Union Times, the Maren - go United Methodist Church, Bag Makers, and Print Turnaround Inc. all had a hand in our efforts, and we cannot thank them enough. Thank you, also, to the local busi - nesses that kept our volunteers fedKay n’ Jo’s, Stonebakers Pizza, and Sullivans Foods. This truly was a community effort!
